What this tool does

DebtFreeDate is a browser-based debt payoff calculator. You enter your debt balances, interest rates, and minimum payments. The tool calculates a projected debt-free date and shows how extra payments change that timeline. All calculations run entirely in your browser. No data is transmitted to any server.

DebtFreeDate is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Results are projections based on the numbers you enter and assume fixed interest rates and consistent payments. Real outcomes depend on factors outside this tool's scope. Consult a qualified financial professional before making significant financial decisions.

Purchases

The paid plan ($29) unlocks the full debt payoff plan export. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. All sales are final. We do not offer refunds. If you experience a technical issue with your purchase, contact us via @vaultshift_ on X and we will resolve it.

Your data

Your debt numbers are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so the calculator reloads with your entries when you return. This data never leaves your device. We do not collect, store, or sell any personal or financial information. See our Privacy Promise for full details.

Accuracy

Calculations assume a fixed annual interest rate compounded monthly and a constant minimum payment. In practice, minimum payments on credit cards may decrease as the balance falls. This tool uses your entered minimum as a fixed floor, which produces a conservative (faster) payoff estimate compared to variable minimums. Actual payoff dates may differ.

We make no guarantees about uptime or continued availability of this service. We may update, change, or discontinue the tool at any time without notice.
